Thanksgiving Veneration

I looooooove Thanksgiving!
Better even than Christmas, I think. It's all family and no present pressures. Our house rule is that there is nothing of Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. I decorate for it (lots of Emilie crafts). I reread the Thanksgiving books that I bought for Emilie when she was young so that this very important American holiday could remain prominent in our home.
This year I decided to give in a bit and I pointed out to Steve that there was a Christmas movie playing tonight...he elected to record it to watch after Thanksgiving. Now, mind you...the day after Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year: tree cuttin', and no less than ten storage tubs of Christmas decorations start going up! But until then, it's all about those faithful, courageous Pilgrims and thoughtful, gracious Wampanoag Native Americans!

I love Thanksgiving also, but Christmas goes up the day after Halloween for us and believe it or not, that was a compromise. I can't ever find great decor for Thanksgiving, but you have it!
