Emilie is SOOO cute! Look out boys at BYUIdaho! She is going to have so much fun!
A few words of advice--don't make out on the lawn by your dorm. People you know will see you.
Tina - Ooh I wish I was there to give you a hug. Emilie will do great! BYUI is close to us, so if you ever need anything at all, just let us know (a ride from the airport, etc.) Looks like you have had a great summer with lots of family vacation time and just hanging out. We miss that about the south. Hope life is great at the Davis house!
Thank you Alisa.... thank you. I really appreciate your words of wisdom there. I'm not sure if i could have figured that one out by myself
Alisa - ...and I'm not sure her Dad would want her to know she's experienced enough to "have figured that one out"! Never-the-less, she's certainly cocky enough to get caught doing something embarrassing! Fun times ahead!
Lisa - One of the only things holding me together is knowing she's got folks like you (and your mom) out there to turn to if needed. Although, having you HERE would be nice so I could have you to turn to...I miss you! Thank you for your encouragement.
Emilie, we are so sad that you are leaving, but also so happy for you as you take this big step in your life. Just remember that while you're out there learning, making friends and meeting hot guys, that we are left here to comfort your mother. Call her often, let her know how you're doing, tell her abou your new experiences and fun adventures (you might not want to tell her absolutely EVERYTHING--especially after Alia Fye's advice) and remember that a piece of her left on that drive to Idaho. Enjoy this time in your life and don't forget all of us back home. We love you!
(Hmmm...I'd like to talk to Alisa, that sounds like first hand experience!)
Hey Beautiful Emilie!!!
I just wanted to say that I am so excited for you! College was such a fun time for me!! One thing that made it fun was getting to meet your parents and babysit you! How lucky was I!!
Anyway, have a great time! Looks like you know how to make good friends, and that is the most important part! Good friends will last a life time!
Also, I loved going to Ole Miss and wouldn't change a thing, but my husband and I have always said it would have been really fun to go to one of the church schools, because we would have had more social options. There's something to be said for a party that doesn't have to have all that crazy stuff going on. Anyway, in a nutshell, I am really excited for you!!!
Look forward to checking in to the blog.
All the best of luck! You deserve it!
:)
Bonnie
